We preview the "other" big darts tournament this weekend!

This weekend is a great one for darting action. The PDC Players Championship is already up and running and the BDO also have the Zuiderduin Masters taking place. This event has a Mens singles, Womens singles and a Youth event. The Masters is now in its 10th year

A number of the BDO tournaments over the year carry Zuiderduin ranking points which are how the players have qualified for this event.

The tournaments are: French Open. Luxembourg Open, Czech Open,Flanders Open, Centerparcs Masters,, Zuiderduin Masters, Lakeside World Pro, German Gold Cup, Dutch Open, Scottish Open, Mariflex Open, German Open, Antwerp Open, Welsh Open, England Open and the Belgium Open.

As well as the players who have qualified by righ,t a further two have been invited  from the Zuiderduin Masters rankings, the winner of the Champion League of Darts and the Champion of the 5th Mariflex Open. The promoters have also invited two players with a wildcard - Salmon Renyaan and Geert De Vos.

The Mens field has a great array of some of the top BDO talent and has been split into 8 groups in the first round.

The first round is played on a "round robin" basis with the winner of each group going through.

The Womens event features two groups of three players.
