How close to a 9 darter and have we said farewell to a legend?

Afternoon Session
Justin Hood 3-1 Gabriel Pascaru
Nick Fullwell 3-1 David Cameron
Wesley Harms 3-2 Andreas Harrysson

Evening Session
Andy Hamilton 3-1 Darren Herewini
Mikuru Suzuki 2-1 Maria O’Brien
Scott Waites 3-2 Martin Adams
Paul Hogan 3-0 Adam Smith-Neale

It was a case of Ooooooooh, so close on Monday night at the 02! Paul Hogan came within a whisker of breaking the 9 darter hoodoo that has hung over the BDO Word Pro since 1990 when Paul Lim did it. Paul “Crocodile Dundee” Hogan was playing our sister company, Performance Darts and their sponsored player Adam Smith Neale in a 2nd round game.

Hogan played superbly and thoroughly deserved his 3:0 win and if only that 9th dart had gone in!

In other news The Hammer played very well to defeat World Cup Champion Darren Herewini and there were good wins also for Hood, Fulwell, Harms and Mikuru Suzuki.

A special mention for Martin Adams who put up much more of a fight that I thought he would v Scott Waites but eventually lost 3:2. Will that be the last time we see Wolfie on the World Pro stage, I think it may be!
